Winter Fun for Kids at Stone Temple Fitness

Tumbling classes are making an exciting return to Stone Temple Fitness in White Sulphur Springs, offering children an engaging and active way to stay busy during the winter months. This program has been brought back by popular demand and promises to deliver another successful season filled with somersaults, flips, and fun. Open to both boys and girls, tumbling classes are an excellent opportunity for children to develop physical skills, build strength, and improve flexibility in a safe and supportive environment.
These classes provide more than just physical exercise—they offer a structured outlet for energy during the colder months when outdoor play is limited. With Montana’s harsh winters keeping children indoors, tumbling encourages movement and activity, helping to build coordination, balance, and self-confidence. Additionally, group classes foster social interaction, teamwork, and discipline, all while teaching foundational gymnastics skills. For young participants, tumbling can set the stage for a lifelong appreciation of fitness and healthy habits.
The 8-week session begins on Wednesday, December 4th, with a total cost of $80 per child. Two age-specific classes are available, each tailored to meet the needs of young participants. Tot Tumbling, for children ages 2–4, runs from 5:15 to 5:45 PM. This class is designed to introduce toddlers to basic tumbling skills through enjoyable activities like trampoline jumping, obstacle courses, and simple gymnastic maneuvers. An adult is required to accompany each child to assist and encourage them during the session.
For older children, Kinder Tumbling, designed for ages 4–5, takes place from 6:00 to 6:45 PM. This class provides an introduction to foundational tumbling skills such as forward and backward rolls, cartwheels, and handstands, while also focusing on developing strength, flexibility, and coordination. Adult accompaniment is not required for this age group.
Classes will be held at Stone Temple Fitness, and safety remains a top priority. Parents must sign a waiver prior to their child’s participation, and additional class rules and information will be provided to parents before the first session.
