Local Church Celebrates Milestones
Two churches in Meagher County gathered in the newly renovated Ringling Church to hold a celebration.
Five years ago, Wenda Fry, a local pastor, was hired to lead the local Yoked Parish church. She has diligently served the congregation since 2018. This church, a combination of the American Lutheran Church and First Presbyterians, also welcomed Lennep’s Trinity Lutheran into its organization five years ago. Pastor Fry has the task of frequently making the drive out to the historical Lennep Church to teach and lead services out in the old town. To mark the two different milestones, over 60 people gathered in Ringling’s newly renovated church. The church is privately owned by a few families that banded together to purchase the rundown building in 2021. After lengthy renovations, the updated church is now available to rent out. The location is to be used for a beautiful wedding venue, gathering place, and to hold other celebration-like events. The building was a perfect place to hold the occasion, and the religious building holds sentimental value to many Meagher County residents. It was originally built in 1914 for St. John's Catholic Congregation, and served the organization until the early 1980's. One of the most remarkable parts of the Ringling Church is the distinct bell tower, that many have tried to uphold and preserve throughout the years. The anniversary party included worship services, food, and socialization on Sunday, July 16th around 9 am. Photo via ringlingchurch.com
