Farmer’s Market Spotlight
As few markets are left, here are some of the popular vendors that have been selling all summer long.
The Farmer’s Market has been a welcome addition to the Meagher County area. The Meagher County Chamber of Commerce added the many Farmer’s Markets, that happen every Thursday, to the 2023 Summer Community Calendar, and the attendance to the events has been very steady. The next market is on Thursday, July 27th. Attendance to this specific date is anticipated to be greater than normal due to the influx of people who will be staying in White Sulphur Springs and surrounding areas for the occasion of the Red Ants Pants Music Festival. The small (but mighty) market will have special hours of 4 pm to 7 pm to give sightseers enough time to experience all of the booths. The Farmer’s Market has many vendors. One of the community booths featured is the Castle Museum. This booth keeps visitors up to date on the happenings at the museum. The Castle vendor will also be hosting a fun and semi-educational activity for children at the market on the 27th. Kathy’s Creations is also a spotlighted vendor at the Farmer’s market. Kathy Sundstrom creates beautiful beaded wall art and window decorations. She also creates ornaments that could be used for Christmas decorations or gifts as well. Along the same lines of art, Beyond the Canvas is another common vendor. Chelsea Kusek handpaints designs on to an assortment of items. The Farmer’s Market also brings several food vendors to the table. Meagher County’s own Springdale Colony brings an assortment of goods to every Thursday’s event. They bring several canned vegetables, and they also have whole chickens available for purchase. Another food vendor is the Wild Oats Baking booth. The bakery presents their delicious bread among their delicacies treasured by many residents. Delpine Farms is another booth that brings forth delicious merchandise. From near Martinsdale, this farm sells their hand picked and harvested veggies like radishes, tomatoes, arugula, and lettuce. The spotlight listed above is only a small portion of the vendors featured at the Farmer’s Market. With only six markets left in 2023, it is not too late to go and explore what other informational content, deals, and assorted goods are available at other vendors.
